Anlässlich des 650-jährigen Jubiläums von Sacrow präsentiert Ars Sacrow e.V. Werke aus der renommierten Miettinen Collection, einer der bedeutendsten privaten Kunstsammlungen zeitgenössischer Kunst in Europa. The WHERE ARE WE NOW exhibition at the Philara Collection in Düsseldorf provides a unique overview of the Miettinen Collection, presented here for the first time in such a comprehensive form. The show, which has taken over all the exhibition spaces at the Philara Collection and features around 150 works by more than 80 artists, opens in the spacious entrance hall with one of Collection’s core themes, landscape and nature.

The new group exhibition “All Tomorrow’s Parties – the Queer Intimists and Other Darlings” at the Miettinen Collection presents a refined selection of paintings, drawings, sculptures and photography by a diverse group of artists, curated by Mika Minetti. The exhibition explores themes of intimacy, relationships and personal identity — some of which are examined through a queer lens — focusing on everyday experiences and emotionally charged moments. The exhibition is both an invitation to play and an invitation to explore ourselves.

The Philara Collection is pleased to present an exhibition of a selection of its works at the Miettinen Collection in Berlin. This is part of a friendly dialogue that encompasses a reciprocal presentation by the Miettinen Collection in Philara’s exhibition space in Düsseldorf, as well as other collaborations in Potsdam and Helsinki.

Who doesn’t long for that feeling of tropical warmth or that magical moment when the silky-smooth chocolate melts on the tongue, promising paradisiacal happiness?

Mist is not quite rain and not quite fog. Neither here nor there, it is not so dense as to appear as a physical presence, yet is noticeable enough to register as an amorphous mass. Mist exists almost indefinably everywhere, being not only around us, but also within us.

For the winter season, the Miettinen Collection inaugurates a new temporary exhibition space spanning 400 square meters on the first floor of the iconic Gründerzeit building on Marburger Straße. The group show Maybe it was magic, curated by Riina Kylätasku and Mika Minetti with 52 artists and running from January 18 to March 29, 2025, focuses on recently acquired works.
